The GM 3.4L V6 engine is an overhead valve (OHV) engine, also known as a pushrod engine. It was produced by General Motors from 1991 to 2005. The engine has a displacement of 3.4 liters, or 207 cubic inches, and produces 160 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. It was primarily used in GM's mid-size vehicles, such as the Chevrolet Malibu, Pontiac Grand Am, and Oldsmobile Alero. The engine features sequentially fuel injected fuel delivery, which improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. It has a cast iron block and aluminum heads, four-valves-per-cylinder design. In 2005, the 3.4L V6 engine was replaced in GM's mid-size vehicles by a new 3.5L V6 engine.
